About Special Needs
Have you ever helped an elderly person cross the street or held the door for someone with a cane or in a wheel chair? Accepting and including people with special needs in our communities is really not that much different. They are just people who have the will and desire to be happy and live active, healthy lives. They just might need some help from time to time.
Of course, there are many different types of special needs, both physical and mental, with different degrees of each, requiring different levels of care. The stress and pressure on the whole family can be overwhelming and never takes a day off.
As a community, the sooner we include, educate and help out children with special needs today, the more likely they will need less help as adults tomorrow, which can lead to happier and more productive lives.

About Challenger Baseball
Little League has been around since the 1930's. Since then millions of children have learned and enjoyed the game of baseball. But kids with disabilities or "different" abilities were out of luck until 1989.
